Hey....can someone tell me the trick: during low rpm & low load (steady speed of 60 mph in 5th), the throttle feels like an on/off switch. How do you smooth out the no throttle to barely cracked open transition? Someone HAS to have a trick out there.

Thanks in advance,
S

stanps, did you ever get an answer to this question? I have a similar issue going on/off throttle for low load.

Hey Slowrider,

Actually in my continued attempts at tuning and tweaking the car, it's gone. What I've done that might have affected this:

-- In Sensor Parameters
- the tps voltage at idle is actually .75, and I set the "TPS Fully Closed Throttle Voltage" to .77

-- In Deceleration Fuel Cut-Off
- I set DCCLL0 to 1800 rpm
- I set DCCL1 to 1100 rpm

-- Ignition Advance Table
- I set the timing during deceleration to about 4 degrees higher than it is during cruise, without going over the highest advance setting (in my case 25 degrees).

I'm not sure which of these (if any) made this go away, but it's gone.

HTH,
Stan Smile

Thanks for the update stanps. I understand how to adjust the first two items in your list.

For the IAT, how do you adjust the timing in decel? I don't remember seeing that tweak. Of course, if I get off my butt and actually look at it - I'd probably find it right away. Embarassed

I'll try out your suggestions.

Just set the 0 - 30 (ish) kPa higher in the upper rpm range. For example:
