Does the power harness (part number 070-40000) come as a flying lead setup like the main harness for the Tec3r or is it just as pictured in the 2007 product catalog with just two relays and the fuse block needing to be custom wired?
catalog link
thanks

The Power Harness is a flying lead type. You only need to connect the wire ends to their appropriate connection points.

Not so Uwe. See my post under TEC3r, Lean at WOT, the third to last one. The wire supplied by the Power harness to the injectors is inadequate. You need to upgrade the gauge to adequately handle the current of 8 injectors. It may work for 6 injectors which seems most here are using...but definitely not 8. Also I'm sure the length of the wire matters. The older TEC 2's are usually mounted in the engine bay and close to the injectors.
Judging by the number of views (over 900, the next closest is 300+) on this topic there may be others with the same problem.
Users need to speak up or register and reply if they have a problem or cure so it can be corrected. This forum is for that and it works well.

Well, just as Timz and others mentioned the 16 ga wire coming from the EMI Power Harness is not big enough.
I added a relay using the injector power wire as power to the relay and used a 12 ga wire for the injectors feeds from battery+.
FIXED THE PROBLEM.
Will need to do some tuning now but it's too friggin cold and rainy all week. May not get another chance for the strip this year.
I'm pretty ticked at Electromotive as nowhere that I could find does it say to use a heavy gauge wire to run the injectors. I used the supplied wire.
I paid extra for the privilege of having an inadequate Power Harness supplied with the TEC3r.
anyways........
Thanks to all for your help and input.
