Hello, Do any of you know if a tec II will tolerate 16 volt input? I would like to remove the alternator on my drag race car and run a DC to DC step up convertor and run everything 16v, but not sure about feeding the tec II with that much Voltage.
I know many racers are going 16v. successfully with no problems with pumps and fans and other accessories, what about the newer tec units? Most other race ignitions systems seem to work better with higher voltage from what I have read.

Should not be a problem. Just keep it 18volts or lower.
