| I just posted something on this as I've just implemented it. Rather than use a dial, I am able to select between no GPO, GPO1 and GPO2 where each GPO has a different boost setting. I have a EMI solenoid as I wound up using something else. I'm happy to part with it for $50 shipped.

Rob_h,
Read the post - Why did you use the AEM solenoid over the EMI?

I had trouble getting it to work right, and it seemed to stick open above about 10psi. The AEM worked exactly as expected, although for about 80% more in price. I'm use the GPO to cycle the solenoid only in the target boost range. Once it gets above the target range it shuts down the solenoid and reverts back to the spring.
There is a slight bump in the boost as it comes on, but I tuned it down to within 1 psi so I called that good enough.
The red chart is GPO1 and the blue is GPO 2. GPO2 is set for progressive boost so it ramps from 14 to 18 psi. Oh I guess you can't attach images. I'll need to host them and add a link.[/img]

| Care to elaborate on your switch setup? It sounds like a DPDT switch and a latched relay or latched flip-flop for the push button.

DPTP Switch (center off) with a DPTP Relay and a momentary switch. It's got LED's to indicate the GPO MAP. Green for GPO1 and Orange for GPO2.

| Thanks for the the info. Its a shame you have to use 2 GPO's. I am currently using one of my stock soleniods (SRT-4) with 1 GPO with a table for controlling PWM to solenoid for boost control. I was thinking about using a trim as an adjustable boost controller or even a switch to go between low/high boost. I have no problem on hig, just would want a little more control on low end boost for traction.

total noob here.
What is a DPTP switch?
Also will the TEC control the WG to a specific manifold pressure? So if I said I wanted to run 18 psi. of boost would the TEC do that or am I missing something?

DPDT - Double Pole, Double throw. Meaning 2 circuits and 2 positions. This switch would have 6 pins it.
Controlling boost to a particular manifold pressure is exactly what's being discussed here. The GPO table is used to control a solenoid that the wastegate reference between atmosphere and the manifold pressure. The dutycycle in the table determines how much boost the wastegate should allow between the spring setting at 0% and the maximum boost that the turbo can make at 100%. Setting the table up takes some experimentation but with a bit of thinking, you could come up with a starting point.
I think cool4now has a picture of his GPO table posted somewhere in another thread. _________________ Jon

I was thinking of using two reed switches to control 3 levels of boost. One switch (NC) to activate while in first gear that would open & close the circuit controlling the ebc. Like a Master: On/Off switch.. Then another switch that would flip between two levels of boost control. It would only activate while in 2nd. At all other times it would be set at the highest boost level unless in 1st as the Master switch would turn the ebc off letting it run straight to the WG ~8psi.. Does this sound possible? I'm attempting to re-read this/other threads to get a better understanding of the availability to switch between two seperate GPO's or just using the PWO function.. _________________ The non-import "import"
