Hi guys

last week i had my car on the dyno and was disapointed and happy at the same time... if that is possible Razz

It made 410hp and 657nm @the wheels... with only 1.6bar boost...

Problem is that the turbo was to small... backpressure went crazy at 1.65bar... as you can see by the graph torque just dropped faster than it came on... Sad

Turbo that i used was a Turbonetics SPR60-5 with .84 exhaust housing. The exhaust side of this turbo is just to small... so now i have upgraded to a Turbonetics T62-1 SSQ... with a Q-trim...

Had a small drive with the new turbo... and ohhh man what a difference... at only 1.3bar it starts to go a little lean... didnt do much testing after that... need to get back on the dyno...

Another problem was knockin with the old turbo... had to reduce timing to 10-11 degrees at higher rpm / boost... hoping for more advance without the backpressure Very Happy

Asim

According to the graph you posted TQ drops off but not as fast as it builds.

How do you know it is a back pressure issue and not cams? I have seen flatter torque curves and more overall TQ with .63 turbine housings mated to 3" exhausts.
