GT occasionly runs on half the cylinders

Sometiimes when I restart my truck, it will only be running on half the cylinders. Never does it at initial start up, just after its been running and shut off. This is a phased eight cyl setup. I had an assitant hook up a timmimg light and coils A2 and B2 were not firing. I haven't been able to check the corresponding injectors, but I don't think they are firing either because the tail pipe doesn't smell rich. If I shut down and restart it usually runs Ok.

That happened to me on my TEC3R and the fix was an upgrade to 3.5.6. Maybe the TECGT has the same problem. They don't tell you there's a problem till you call and ask.
