Can someone give me a primer on the Automatic VE function? I tried using it today and I noticed that the EGO was making corrections but did not affect the VE table.

When I click on Automatic VE, it asks me for a minimum number of data points... I entered 10 as suggested. When I entered that, the little red dot that normally moves around on the VE table froze in one place. I drove the car for a few miles and nothing happened. When I clicked on Automatic VE after my drive, it went back to the normal red dot moving around with throttle inputs, but nothing changed in terms of the VE table.

The TEC GT manual is woefully lacking concerning this function... in fact, there is absolutely no mention of it. I went back to the TEC 3/r manual and there was more information, but the screens they show in those instructions look nothing like what I have on the TEC GT.

I'll call Electromotive in the morning, but any help would be appreciated! Help!? Smile

Thanks
Shane

OK figured some of this out...

Once Automatic VE has been enabled, you then have to turn on the overlay... once that's done it will display the realtime changes.

However, you need to manually go in and enter all of the changes if you want to accept them.... argh. No mass save option.

Still open for any input pertaining to Auto VE with a TEC GT and WinTec4 though Smile

Thanks!

Not sure why you needed to turn on overlay to get the AutoVE to show. I've never had to.

As for saving, there is a bug in the currently released version of WT4 (4.5.25) that prevents saving those changes, but that has been fixed and the upcoming release will take care of it. So if you like the changes it made, you just hit save and you're done.

Yeah not sure on the Auto VE... when I click it, the red tracking cursor freezes and nothing is changed. When I switch the overlay on I can see the changes, but in order to save them I have to manually go in and enter each one. Not a big deal, but time consuming.

When is the new version out?

Thanks
Shane
