I've had the system for a little now and I was going to maintain the stock ECU, but now I just want MO POWER! So, here's my setup:

S52 motor w/ 8.5:1 compression
M50 manifold
666 tubular exhaust manifold
44mm wastegate
GT35r (.70/.82)

I want to run a maximum of 20 psi for right now with a goal of 600rwhp. I understand 18psi on 93 octane, and anything above that should either involve methanol or race gas.

So, stock fuel rail, what size/type fuel injectors should I get? 65/75lb?
Any 20/20 hindsight things you wish you knew before starting?
What kind of laptop should i use?

My tuner has worked with autronic/AEM, but never TEC3r and this is the setup I want to run because I've seen how successful others have been with the TEC3r.

Is there anything special about the install besides rotating the crank wheel 120 degrees?

thanks all, help me learn!

You will be fine with 65lb injectors and 600whp.If it is a vic unit its just plug and play.

Any lap top will work.If it does not have the serial 9 pin we have a sticky for what 9 pin to usb adaptors work.

Thanks, I'll be looking to purchase the correct serial to usb cable....

The reason I was thinking of going with the 75lb injectors is because there seems to be plenty of people that have my setup with 75lb injectors, and i would be able to share bin files instead of starting from scratch....but I guess it wouldn't be too much of a headache to change the calibration for 65lbers...

Most people run the 75's so there is room for more hp If wanted.
What ever yoiu think will be most beneficial if your friends run 75's and you think you might want to
use there bin file then go for it.

Tec3r is installed, but now I'm having idling issues. I cannot get the car to idle on its own.

The only way I've managed to get it to idle is in the idle settings, idle motor maxed out at 100% and then the motor will idle at only 400rpms and around 11 AFRs...thoughts?

I have the idle motor grounded properly, the car revs great, just not idling....thoughts?

Turn off the iac and ego correction then get your idle straight(best you can) then turn ego and IAC .I dont run the IAC and dont have any problems

If using the 3 wire Bosch IAC with the 3 wire adapter be sure you do not have the outer wires inverted or it will be working backwards. Your Tec IAC output signal of 100 would actually be telling the IAC to close and the Bosch IAC with a full closed signal will pass just enough air to idle the engine. This is the state the IAC will be in if wired backwards.

How did you set your Min/Max Duty settings? I go thru this process. I set the idle value very low (500 rpm) and Min Duty high (170) so the car will idle high as the IAC value is bottomed out at zero. On the fly I reduce the value of Min Duty and watch the idle go down until it gets to about 600 RPM. That becomes my Min Duty setting. Then I reverse the process, set idle high (2000 rpm) and the Max Duty just above the Min Duty. Add any loads the engine might see at idle (AC on, automatic in Drive). Now I increase Max Duty as needed to attain a reasonable high idle of maybe 1300 RPM. Once these Min and Max Duty are set I can work with the other IAC settings.

Turns out the first bin file that the car wouldnt idle on had the main setting of 'idlemotor' set to '2 wire'. The new file I received had it set to '4 wire' and now it idles fine on its own. Still requires for the first second some assistance, but then picks it up on its own just fine.
