Just a quick intro. This is my very first automotive project. I got bitten by the bug when a friend bought a 3rd Gen MR2 turbo. Needless to say I've gone way over the deep end on my $600 truck!
1987 Mazda B2000:
body and frame - POR'd/modified
1999 Kia Sportage motor:
Diamond forged pistons
Total Seal rings
Cryo-treated long block
Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo
Custom intake/exhaust manifolds
1999 Ford turbo diesel intercooler
Custom aluminum radiator w/ 2000cfm Spal fan
Aquamist 2D and DDS3
Aeroquip and Aeromotive everything
RC Engineering 550cc/min injectors
Much much more.

I attended the EFI101 class in '04 and have been working on my tuning skills w/ the TECII and the XCEL spreadsheet ever since! Once I score a reliable laptop it's time to finalize the street tune on this thing and get it on the dyno!

Erik@EMI: Thanks for the comment. Clean/sterile/clinical is the look I'm going for under the hood; like a NASA project! LOL
freiman: Most people here in the US just swap the motor out for a V8.
There are a couple who have swapped the KIA motor in after I did. One guy in NZ who has a turbo on his and has done even more custom fab work than I have and a guy in St. Louis (I believe) just running his NA; both using MegaSquirt.

Well, finnish the tune/dyno work and drive it! Perhaps get it to a couple of shows/events just to show it off and enjoy the flip-out face people make when they finally notice the KIA on the valve cover! LOL
I still have an open rear-end in it so I'll be trying to track down an LSD for it. I also need to get the bed repaired/painted to finnish it off.
Of course I can spend the winter working on cleaning up my wiring under the dash. I'm also probably going to solder up a new power distribution relay board but these are just items I know about that bother me that no one else will ever see!
I've got like 6-5 other projects that I'd like to try while at the same time I'm house-hunting!
